Swap Cancellations and Adjustments Policy

How cancellations, changes, and no-shows are handled on Worn Edit.

Swap Cancellations and Adjustments Policy

At Worn Edit, we do our best to ensure swaps go smoothly, but we understand that plans sometimes change. This policy is designed to keep swaps predictable and fair while allowing reasonable flexibility.

Cancellations affect other members’ time and planning. By honoring your commitments and communicating early, you help keep the community reliable for everyone.

Requester Cancellations

Requesters should cancel as early as possible in the app if they can’t complete a pickup. Early cancellations keep items available and prevent unnecessary inconvenience to listers.

  • Before pickup: If you cancel before pickup, your reserved credit is refunded.
  • Late cancellations: Repeated late cancellations may result in warnings or account action.
  • No-shows: If a requester does not show up for a confirmed pickup, the reserved credit is forfeited.

Lister Cancellations

Listers should keep availability accurate and cancel early if they can’t fulfill a swap. Late cancellations can disrupt a requester’s plans and harm trust in the community.

  • Before pickup: If a lister cancels before pickup, the requester’s reserved credit is refunded.
  • Late cancellations: Repeated late cancellations may result in warnings or account action.
  • No-shows: If a lister does not show up for a confirmed pickup, the requester’s reserved credit is refunded.

Swap Changes and Adjustments

If you need to change pickup details after a swap is confirmed, communicate through the Worn Edit chat and confirm the new plan in the app when possible.

  • Pickup time or location changes: Changes should be proposed as early as possible and agreed to by both members.
  • Item changes: If an item’s condition or availability changes, the lister must disclose it immediately. The requester may cancel without penalty.
  • Pickup by someone else: If a requester authorizes another person to pick up, they remain responsible for that person’s actions.

Excessive Cancellations and Other Guidelines

To protect the community experience, Worn Edit may review member accounts that show a pattern of late cancellations, no-shows, or other disruptive behavior. Actions may include warnings, temporary pauses, or removal from the community.

If a member violates the Member Code of Conduct or Terms of Service, Worn Edit may cancel active swaps or restrict account access without prior notice.

Extenuating Circumstances

We recognize that emergencies can happen. If an unexpected event prevents a pickup, contact Worn Edit support as soon as possible. We may, at our discretion, waive penalties when appropriate.
